Rejoining the company in May 2024, Nazira brought with her a wealth of knowledge and experience from her previous tenure with Weststar, which spanned from August 2018 to December 2021. Her return is a testament to the strong professional ties and positive experiences she cultivated during her earlier years with the organization.  

Nazira’s journey began in a junior finance role, where her dedication and skill quickly became apparent. Her commitment to excellence and eagerness to learn propelled her forward, culminating in her current role, where she faces one of her most significant challengesye: managing the company’s transfer pricing documentation. This new responsibility has been a transformative experience, expanding her financial expertise in ways she had not anticipated and solidifying her reputation as a key contributor to the company’s financial success.  

For Nazira, Weststar is more than just a workplace, it’s a community. She deeply appreciates the cheerfulness, dedication and mutual support of her colleagues, as well as the open and team-based communication fostered by company leadership.  

When asked what advice she would offer to future Weststar employees, Nazira’s message is clear and encouraging: “Hang in there!” She believes that those who remain focused and dedicated will find ample opportunities to grow, learn and achieve success at Weststar.

Currently underway, this conference promises to continue the momentum with productive sessions focused on enhancing safety and operational excellence in the offshore helicopter industry. 

The session offered detailed guidance on the benefits of MBOTs professional credentials and the streamlined application process. Employees were encouraged to enhance their professional qualifications, with on-site registration facilitated to simplify the process. 

The briefing was marked by active participation, as employees engaged in discussions progression. Following the session, Weststar presented a token of appreciation to MBOT, acknowledging the valuable knowledge shared during the event. 

The day concluded with a tour of the hangar, offering attendees a behind the scenes look at Weststar’s operations. The tour highlighted the organization’s dedication to excellence and innovation in the aviation sector.

In 2016, Captain Fauzi took on the role of Base Manager in Mauritania. This experience allowed him to adapt to a new culture and overcome language barriers, further enhancing his leadership skills. His time in Mauritania not only tested his resilience but also solidified his ability to manage diverse teams and operations in challenging environments.

Following his successful tenure in Mauritania, Captain Fauzi returned to Malaysia to become Pilot-in-Charge at the Miri base. Here, he played a crucial role in overseeing significant operational expansions, demonstrating his commitment to excellence and strategic growth.

In 2023, Captain Fauzi returned to Kota Bharu, where he now steps into his new role as General Manager of Flight Operations at headquarters. In this capacity, he is dedicated to ensuring smooth, safe, and compliant flight operations while fostering a skilled and collaborative team environment. Captain Fauzi believes in the importance of mentorship and teamwork, and he encourages future members of Weststar to embrace a mindset of patience and adaptability. His advice resonates deeply within our organization: “Be patient, adaptable, and open to learning; the rewards are endless.”

The outing provided the children with a unique opportunity to explore the rich diversity of wildlife at the zoo. As they wandered through the exhibits, they learned about various animals and the crucial conservation efforts in place to protect their habitats. The excitement and wonder on the children’s faces were a testament to the positive impact of such experiences.

Beyond the educational aspect, the day was filled with joy and laughter, creating cherished memories for both the children and the Weststar team. Throughout the week, we emphasized the importance of safety awareness, engaging our team in a series of activities designed to reinforce our shared values of Safety & Quality Focus and Passion to Win as a cohesive unit. Our initiatives included informative sessions on safety reporting, where employees learned how to effectively communicate potential hazards, and engaging FOD (Foreign Object Debris) Walks, aimed at identifying and eliminating risks in our operational environment.
